The NAIFA Quality Award (NQA) is now accepting applications for 2026. As NAIFA’s mark of excellence, the NQA honors financial professionals who demonstrate the highest standards of service, ethics, and professional achievement. For generations, the award has recognized advisors who do more than produce results: they elevate the profession.
A Legacy of Excellence Since 1945
The NAIFA Quality Award has served as the hallmark of outstanding client care in the insurance and financial service industry since 1945, when it was first established by the National Association of Life Underwriters (NALU), NAIFA’s predecessor organization. Originally focused on recognizing exceptional life insurance agents, the award has evolved alongside the profession.
As advisors expanded their services and expertise, NAIFA expanded the award to reflect the changing industry. In the 1980s, additional categories were introduced to recognize professionals across a broader range of practices. More recently, the award was refined to emphasize the full scope of professional excellence including ethical conduct, continuing education, service to clients and communities, and active involvement in NAIFA.
Recognizing Veteran Professionals
In 2024, NAIFA introduced the NQA Emeritus category, recognizing veteran professionals who have demonstrated sustained excellence throughout their careers. To qualify, recipients must be age 60 or older and have qualified for the NQA for at least 15 years.

Who’s Eligible? Only NAIFA Members
The award is open to all advisors and agents in the financial service industry. However, only active NAIFA members will be officially recognized as recipients and included in NAIFA’s listing of award winners.
