campaign that Life Happens, a NAIFA community, created and coordinates each
year, and we encourage you to participate.

Here’s why it’s so critical: According to the 2025 Insurance Barometer Study, by Life Happens and LIMRA, 19% of people say they have an individual disability insurance policy. But chances are good that they are confusing coverage they have through work with an individual policy, so that number is likely even lower.
That means there is a great need to get the word out about how important it is
to own an individual disability insurance policy, with coverage that doesn’t go
away if a work situation changes.
