NAIFA is pleased to collaborate with Mediaplanet on its newly released Women in Finance campaign, which highlights leaders and organizations working to expand opportunities for women across financial services.

The campaign features NAIFA Secretary Carina Hatfield, LUTCF, CLCS, LACP, in the article “A Woman’s Guide to Careers in Insurance and Financial Advising.” Hatfield discusses the growing need for more women in financial services as the industry faces both a talent gap and a generational transfer of wealth. She shares her own path into the profession, the influence of family and mentors, and the importance of building a career rooted in relationships, trust, and purpose.

NAIFA Trustee Kathleen Bilderback is also featured in “What It Takes to Lead in Finance,” where she shares insights on leadership, collaboration, and serving clients through a multidisciplinary approach. Bilderback emphasizes that strong outcomes come from building peer-level relationships with CPAs, financial professionals, and other experts, while encouraging the next generation of women in finance to lead with trust, judgment, credibility, and perseverance.

Together, Hatfield and Bilderback’s perspectives reflect the value NAIFA members bring to the profession and the clients they serve. Their stories also underscore the importance of mentorship, leadership development, and creating pathways for more women to thrive in insurance and financial services.
