NAIFA Members Provide
Financial Security

NAIFA's Foundation for Financial Service Professionals seeks applicants for the Paul S. Mills Scholarship program. The program offers scholarships to students pursuing degrees in financial service related fields, including finance, accounting, insurance or risk management, actuarial sciences, and personal financial planning. The application deadline is March 31.

Ten students will receive scholarships of $1,000. The four top-scored applicants will be awarded the Eileen J. Prus and Edmund O. Ciske Jr. designated Paul S. Mills Scholarship of $3,000.  An applicant for the Paul S. Mills Scholarship must:

  • Be a full or part-time student enrolled in a college or university program in the United States who has completed the equivalent of one year of credits toward an undergraduate degree or is pursuing a masters or PhD level degree.

  • Be pursuing a course of study in a financial service field.

  • Demonstrate financial need by submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Student Aid Report.

Applicants must must complete an application, submit a FAFSA Report, and write a short essay (500 words) describing why they wish to pursue an education in the financial service field and why the scholarship is important to them.

The Foundation for Financial Service Professionals was established in 1982 by the leadership of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. In 2024, the NAIFA Foundation for Financial Security was consolidated into the Foundation for Financial Service Professionals following the merger of NAIFA and FSP. Its mission is to impact the lives of individuals with scholarships and financial education.
