The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) has named Jennifer Alford the 2015 Young Advisors Team Leader of the Year.

Jennifer, 37, is vice president of Creative Financial Partners, and will become the company president in January 2016. She is also the immediate past president of NAIFA-Ohio, current Political Involvement and Programs and Professional Development chair for NAIFA-Toledo, and board president of the Women’s Entrepreneurial Network.

Jennifer is also a 2006 recipient of NAIFA’s Advisor Today’s Four under Forty.

“I am honored to congratulate Jennifer Alford as NAIFA’s 2015 Young Advisors Team Leader of the Year,” said NAIFA President Juli McNeely. “Jennifer has achieved extraordinary professional success in a short time. Her dedication to her career, colleagues, and clients as well as to NAIFA provides a strong positive example for advisors at any career stage. She represents a solid corps of young leaders within NAIFA who have come up through the YAT program. It reassures me to know that the future of our association will be in such capable hands.”

The Young Advisors Team (YAT), a NAIFA program established in 2001, provides networking and educational programs for advisors who are age 40 or under or who have been in the business for fewer than five years.

The YAT Leader of the Year Award, which was developed in 2010, recognizes an advisor’s commitment to NAIFA, including service on local, state, and national committees; participation in the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI); involvement with state or federal legislative efforts; participation in external service work, such as charities; and an ability to inspire others.

Jennifer has held every position on NAIFA-Ohio’s state board as well as on NAIFA Toledo’s board. She became active in the association in 2003. She has also served in various positions with NAIFA-Toledo, currently serving as the Political Involvement chair and the Programs and Professional Development chair.

At the age of 26, along with three other advisors, Jennifer started her own independent financial services firm. Today, Creative Financial Partners has grown to a team of 25. Furthermore, she is a presenter of marketing workshops for advisors and has been featured in NAIFA’s Advisor Today magazine numerous times. She has presented these workshops at the NAIFA annual convention on multiple occasions.

In addition to her service to NAIFA, Jennifer is very active in her community and serves as the board president of the Women’s Entrepreneurial Network, a nonprofit designed to help women succeed in business. She is also past president of the Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and a past school board member for Nexus Academy.

As the YAT Leader of the Year, Jennifer will be recognized during the 2015 NAIFA Career Conference and Annual Meeting in New Orleans on October 3, 2015.
