Thanksgiving is a holiday notable for its traditions. Whether you spend the day visiting with friends and family, eating too much turkey, watching football, serving meals to those less fortunate, or all of the above, I hope you have a fulfilling and joyful day.

But before we turn to our various Thanksgiving pursuits, I want to express my thanks to you, NAIFA’s members. You are the reason NAIFA is the premier association of insurance and financial advisors in the United States. Our strength is in the quality as well as the quantity of our members. You are the best in the business, showing unparalleled commitment to your own professional growth, the success of your colleagues and the financial wellbeing of your clients. NAIFA is respected and sought out for counsel and collaboration by industry insiders, company leaders, members of Congress, members of the media and consumers. I hope you are proud to be a part of that.

I also want to thank you for doing the job that you do. Insurance and financial advisors help secure the financial success of 75 million American families. The products and services you provide help people deal with many of the toughest situations they will face in their lives as well as some of the best. You help them cope with the premature loss of a loved one, a career setback or a long-term illness or disability. You also allow them to celebrate sending their children to college, providing benefits for their employees, or enjoying a healthy and happy retirement. Your mission is to help people succeed in life and help their families thrive after they are gone. It’s something you do very well, and I am thankful and proud that NAIFA is able to help you in your effort.

Finally, I am thankful for all of you who do a little bit extra for NAIFA, your colleagues and your clients. Whether you are a volunteer leader, an IFAPAC donor, an attendee of NAIFA’s Congressional Conference or a LILI graduate, I offer you my sincere thanks. NAIFA’s success is built upon the efforts of members who show extraordinary dedication to our association and industry. You are the best of the best, and I appreciate what you do.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
