NAIFA's Advisor Today: Live+Work+Give

Happy Thanksgiving From NAIFA

Written by Kevin Mayeux | 11/25/25 1:11 PM

With Thanksgiving, we naturally turn our attention to the three Fs: family, food, and football. But when we consider things that we are truly thankful for, I’d like to add one more: financial service professionals.

Americans have much to be thankful for this holiday season largely because of the crucial work you are doing. While your practice websites might tell us that you offer insurance products, financial planning, wealth management, or other products and services, what you are really giving your clients is peace of mind, opportunities to live their best lives, and happiness for themselves and their loved ones. These are among the things Americans are most thankful for.

So, I sincerely offer you my thanks, as NAIFA’s CEO and on behalf of our Board of Trustees and professional staff, for all of the great work you do. Your professionalism, dedication, and expertise let the rest of us put aside our financial concerns this holiday. Instead of worrying about risks that could threaten our ability to retire comfortably or achieve other financial goals we can fret over whether or not to have an extra serving of pie or if the Cowboys will pull out a win in the fourth quarter.

This is a special time of year when we individually and collectively reflect on our blessings. When we do so, it is clear that we all owe insurance and financial professionals a debt of gratitude. Yours is a very noble calling. That is why we at NAIFA are very thankful for the opportunity to serve you, and we are motivated to fulfill NAIFA’s membership promise: to advocate on your behalf, provide top-of-the-line professional education, and differentiate you from others in the field.

Just as your clients can be certain you have their financial wellbeing covered, you can rest assured that NAIFA is working to protect your business. We are fortunate to be part of an industry that safeguards Americans’ financial security and gives our families, friends, and neighbors so much to be thankful for. Working together, we will ensure that continues to be the case.

I wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.
