“NAIFA-Minneapolis has benefited from Corey’s leadership and service for eight years,” NAIFA President Robert Miller said. “His passion to bring more YATs into the business is evident every time he recruits a new member to NAIFA. During his tenure, Corey has personally recruited more than 40 new members to NAIFA. He truly exemplifies what it is to be a leader and deserves to be recognized as the NAIFA YAT Leader of the Year.”
The Young Advisors Team was established by NAIFA in 2001 as a subcommittee. It provides networking and education programs for advisors who are age 40 or under, or who have been in the business for less than five years.
The YAT Leader of the Year Award was created in 2010 to recognize an advisor’s commitment to NAIFA, including service on local, state and national committees and participation in the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI); involvement with state or federal legislators; participation in external service work such as charities; and an ability to inspire others.
In addition to serving as NAIFA Minnesota YAT Chair, Anderson served as NAIFA – Minneapolis President, Secretary and Treasurer and as the NAIFA National YAT Subcommittee Chair. Anderson continues to support the NAIFA National YAT Program and Subcommittee in securing sponsors for the Career Conference and Annual Meeting YAT events.
As the YAT Leader of the Year, Anderson will receive complimentary registration, airfare and lodging to NAIFA’s 2012 Career Conference and Annual Meeting, Sept. 8-11 in Las Vegas.
