More than 150 members gathered in Washington Jan. 27-29 for NAIFA’s annual IFAPAC/APIC Training Meeting and Day on the Hill. They received a legislative briefing on issues facing Congress that could affect their businesses and their clients. Topping the list this year is tax reform and the potential threats it poses to life insurance and annuity products, employer-provided health care, and retirement savings programs.
Workshops provided specific strategies and tactics NAIFA members can use to improve their political action and political involvement success.
Attendees wrapped up the meeting with a Day on the Hill. NAIFA members held more than 160 meetings with senators, representatives and key congressional staffers. They shared insights into their products and businesses as well as the important role they play in providing financial security to 75 million American families.
