Margaret Ellison Simonds Elected Secretary of NAIFA-Massachusetts

Margaret Ellison Simonds, Director of New Business and Underwriting at First American Insurance Underwriters, Inc., in Needham, Massachusetts. was recently elected Secretary of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) of Massachusetts.

Simonds began her life insurance career in 1990 and has developed extensive knowledge of life insurance, disability income and long-term-care marketing strategies for assisting advisors in serving their clients.

“We are pleased to have Margaret active in NAIFA Mass.,” says Kenneth A. Shapiro, First American’s president. “The organization has immense value for advisors, offering them the opportunity to sharpen their skills and stay current with industry trends.”

No stranger to NAIFA, Simonds served as Director of Communications of the board of directors of NAIFA’s Washington, D.C., chapter.

Simonds is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she majored in sociology. She is currently a resident of Newton Upper Falls, Mass.
