NAIFA-NE is hosting its annual Insurance Leaders Forum along with the Nebraska Association of Health Underwriters virtually Aug. 11-13. The program featured a federal legislative update by NAIFA Director of Government Relations Mike Hedge, who spoke about NAIFA’s work over the past year on the SECURE Act, repeal of health care taxes, COVID-19 relief bills, and other legislative priorities over the past year.
Other sessions during the three-day even include presentations by NAIFA members Robert B. Wellendorf II, CLU, AEP, CAP on life insurance in the business marketplace and Eryka Morehead, CAP, CLTC, LACP on life insurance policy reviews.
Additional upcoming NAIFA state events include NAIFA-CO’s Virtual State Convention, Aug. 12-13, and NAIFA-CA’s Empower. Engage. Explore. Annual conference, Aug. 20. The Colorado event will feature a report by state Past President Kathleen Owings, LACP, and the August NAIFA Live virtual meeting with Dawn Wolfgram, CLF, who is President of Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) and a long-time NAIFA member. NAIFA members Chris Bor, LUTCF, CLU, ChFC, Homa Rassouli, and Shane Westhoelter, AEP, CLU, LUTCF, will present at the California event.
