Life Happens Has Been Doing Great Work for 30 Years

Congratulations to Life Happens, which joined NAIFA as our consumer-education community last year and is celebrating its 30th anniversary today. NAIFA was a key player among the industry organizations that founded Life Happens in 1994 to educate consumers about life insurance and related products.

Through the years NAIFA has been Life Happens’ leading advocate and most consistent supporter. When Life Happens, along with the Society of Financial Service Professionals, joined the NAIFA fold, it strengthened existing bonds and really felt a lot like a homecoming. Our organizations have shared many of the same ideals and objectives for three decades and have played crucial roles in advancing the financial security of American individuals and families. This is a mission we continue to serve together.

During its illustrious history, Life Happens has grown public awareness of the value of life insurance and other financial products. From their highly successful Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM) to their emotional Real LIFE Stories program and Life Lessons scholarships, Life Happens has consistently inspired individuals to take charge of their financial futures. It is also the driving force behind Insure Your Love Month in February and Disability Insurance Awareness Month in May. These initiatives have helped countless families understand the critical importance of financial protection, especially in times of uncertainty.

We are extremely pleased that Life Happens now serves as the Consumer Education arm of NAIFA. Our members benefit from access to many of Life Happens’ extraordinary resources, including branded graphics, videos, and social media messages they can use to connect with consumers. The impact is electric. This year’s LIAM campaign generated nearly 7 million organic social media impressions.

Happy anniversary to Life Happens on this incredible 30-year milestone. An unwavering commitment to increasing financial literacy, providing resources, and guiding consumers toward financial responsibility has made a lasting impact on our industry and beyond.
