Eyewitness News 9 from WSOC-TV, a station in Charlotte, NC, recently broadcast a special report, “Talking About Race and Money.” The Personal Finances segment of the broadcast (beginning at the 13:10 mark) features Delvin Joyce, CLU, ChFC, Managing Director with Prudential Financial and Chair of NAIFA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council (loyal member since 2010).

The report consults with experts in a variety of fields, including housing, insurance, business, finance, and wealth management to examine how money matters impact diverse communities with an emphasis on the Black community.

“I personally believe that life insurance is a miracle, especially for the Black community, because so many ... want to create wealth and want to create generational legacies for their families and their children’s children,” Joyce told viewers.

NAIFA’s DEI Council promotes opportunities within NAIFA and the insurance and financial services industry for people of all communities, cultures, and backgrounds. The Council provides thought leadership and resources to help NAIFA fulfill its goal of ensuring that every American, from all of our country’s diverse communities, has access to the financial services, products, and advice needed for financial security and prosperity. A part of NAIFA’s Talent Development Center, the DEI Council is the driving force behind NAIFA’s annual DEI Impact Week.
