February is Insure Your Love Month, an awareness campaign created by Life Happens to encourage Americans to consider making a life insurance purchase. The campaign is centered on one simple premise: the main reason to buy life insurance is because you have loved ones and you want to protect them financially from life’s uncertainties.

In an analysis of data  from the 2016 Life Insurance Ownership study, LIMRA finds that LGBT market aligns with the total market in regards to financial concerns and planning, especially around life insurance ownership.

Nearly three-quarters of U.S. businesses believe their organizations are highly protected from attempts by outsiders to gain access to their systems and data, according to a survey by Willis Towers Watson. A similar proportion of organizations (79%) maintain they have the right processes in place to adequately respond to privacy and security threats.

Small businesses are the backbone of America, representing more than 90 percent of businesses today.[1] Now, they can also claim to be some of the happiest places to work.

Only 18% of retirement-age women can pass a basic quiz on how to make a nest egg last in retirement. Nearly twice as many retirement-age men are able to pass, and although those numbers are still grim, this underscores the trouble women face in their own retirement knowledge. Even more worrisome is that despite low retirement literacy, the majority of women (55%) are still extremely confident that they and their spouses would have enough money to retire comfortably.
