We're proud to announce Roger Sims, CLU, LUTCF, has received NAIFA's 2022 Q3 Membership Hard Hat Award.

NAIFA’s Committee on Governance has nominated Douglas B. Massey, LUTCF, FSS, Owner of Doug Massey Financial Services in San Angelo, TX, to be the 2023 NAIFA Secretary. A current member of NAIFA’s Board of Trustees, Massey has been a loyal NAIFA member since 1987. As incoming Secretary, Massey will be in line to serve as President-Elect in 2024 and President in 2025.

NAIFA is sad to learn that association Past President Dennis R. Merideth, CLU, ChFC, of Tucson, AZ, passed away September 10. He was a loyal NAIFA member since 1971.

In 2007, Julianne Hertel, LACP, was looking for a new career. She talked with several professionals to explore her options but found the perfect fit with New York Life. Now, she helps protect Main Street Americans with comprehensive insurance and financial planning.

NAIFA Members Recognized as Forbes Top Financial Security Professionals 2022

Once again Forbes and SHOOK Research have selected the industry’s premier financial security professionals, answering the question “Would we recommend these professionals to a family member or friend?” The answer this year has resulted in 27 NAIFA members who serve Main Street USA by actively promoting financial literacy in their clients’ best interests and following the NAIFA Code of Ethics. On August 31, join NAIFA-Past President Juli McNeely, LUTCF, CFP, CLU for “Risk Matters,” a Building Relationships Every Week (BREW) webinar from E4 Insurance.  

In this session, McNeely will share insights on how to help your clients evaluate risk and the importance of consistently analyzing risk. A loyal NAIFA member since 1996, McNeely is Past President of NAIFA-WI, a graduate of NAIFA’s Leadership in Life Institute (LILI), and a Financial Security Advocate.

NAIFA is sad to announce that Peter C. Browne, former NAIFA National Treasurer and Past President of NAIFA-NY, has passed away. Peter was a loyal NAIFA member since 1965. During his career spanning nearly six decades, he achieved phenomenal success as an advisor and agency manager, much of it with Price, Raffel & Browne, a firm he co-founded.

NAIFA CEO Kevin Mayeux, CAE, who has overseen the rebirth and transformation of NAIFA under the NAIFA 20/20 and now the NAIFA 2025 Strategic Plans knows his stuff when it comes to association management.
