Online tool directs consumers to NAIFA members;
Members encouraged to update their NAIFA profile today

NAIFA has expanded its outreach to consumers with a new Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaign utilizing a Google ad word/phrase buy of more than 200 keywords related to insurance and financial advising. The campaign leverages consumers’ increased use of the Internet in their search for products and advisors who sell life insurance and annuities, health insurance and employee benefits, multiline, and financial advising and investments.

“As the premiere financial services association, we are pleased to invest in this campaign that will enhance consumers’ ability to access NAIFA members,” NAIFA President John Nichols said. “Consumers are relying more on the Internet to research different types of insurance and financial products, but they still need to connect with agents and advisors to help them make informed choices and purchase decisions. This tool will facilitate their ability to find a professional who follows ethical business practices and is located in their local market. With this campaign under way, NAIFA members must visit their profile to ensure their contact information is up to date!”

How it works

Individuals searching for insurance and financial advice by entering keywords may see a link to NAIFA’s “Agent Locator” tool. The tool allows consumers to search for a NAIFA member by name, state or zip code. A second search filter allows them to find members by products and practice specialty. The campaign reaches outside typical consumer searches for insurance help and includes shopping sites, map applications, image search, social media groups and search partners.

To maximize the benefits of the campaign, NAIFA members should visit the NAIFA Member Profile System today to ensure their contact information is up to date.

The information in your profile will be used only by NAIFA. To update your profile, follow these steps:

  • On the home page of the NAIFA website go to “My Profile” at the top of the screen.
  • To login to the NAIFA website, you will need your user name, which is your NAIFA member id number, and your password, which is your last name, first letter capitalized. If your last name is five characters or less please add naifa (all lowercase) to your last name.
  • Once you are logged in to the NAIFA website and click on “My Profile,” you’ll have access to your personal profile page.
  • Take a moment to update your profile with your communication preferences and demographic information.

Attention NAIFA members approved to sell products from healthcare exchanges:

Members who have completed the federal and/or state-based health insurance exchange training and are approved to sell and service products from the exchanges should update their NAIFA member profile by checking the FFM (Federally-Facilitated Marketplace) Training Completed box.

For assistance, please contact the NAIFA Member Service Center at membersupport@naifa.org or 877-866-2432.
