The importance of NAIFA members takes on a particular poignancy this time of year. When we consider many of the things Americans are most thankful for – their families, health, financial wellbeing – it is gratifying to know that we at NAIFA serve a community of insurance and financial professionals who safeguard all these things.
The service and guidance that NAIFA members provide, from risk protection to college funding to retirement planning, alleviate many of the financial burdens most worrying to American families. You help Americans protect their loved ones and provide their families with better lives. You offer health plans that give them the best opportunity to remain well or return to health should they become sick or injured. You look out for their financial wellbeing, offering planning and investments so they can continue to prosper and grow their wealth.
We all owe insurance and financial professionals a debt of gratitude. Yours is a very noble calling. That is why we at NAIFA are very thankful for the opportunity to serve you and motivated to fulfill NAIFA’s membership promise: to advocate on your behalf, educate our members to be the best they can be, and differentiate you from others in the field.
We look forward in the coming months to showing our appreciation for the great work NAIFA members do. First up is the NAIFA Belong event, December 6, during which we will celebrate our NAIFA award winners. We will present NAIFA’s Diversity Champion, Young Advisor Team Leader of the Year, and Terry Headley Lifetime Defender awards. We will recognize Advisor Today’s Four Under 40 recipients and present the John Newton Russell Memorial Award, which is the highest honor accorded by the insurance industry.
Our appreciation for NAIFA members continues in the new year. We have proclaimed February “I Love NAIFA Month.” Each week we will show our appreciation for NAIFA members and volunteer leaders in our programming, online publications, social media posts, and the “NAIFA Love” print edition of Advisor Today magazine.
Once again, I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve the finest financial professionals in the country. On behalf of the NAIFA Board of Trustees and every member of the NAIFA team, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Best regards,
Kevin M. Mayeux, CAE
