Lincoln Financial Distributors (LFD), the wholesale distribution subsidiary of Lincoln Financial Group, recently announced that the CEO of BRAMCO Financial Resources, Mike Hefferon, has received the prestigious “American Award.”

The American Award is presented each year to financial-services professionals who combine business performance excellence, outstanding community service and commitment to family. The award, which was presented to Hefferon by President and CEO of LFD, Will Fuller, is one of the company’s top honors.

“It takes a very special type of leader to focus on meeting clients’ needs, while helping others in the workplace and in our community to achieve their success,” says Fuller. “Mike’s commitment is a true reflection of excellence, and his dedication to improving the lives around him is inspiring to all.”

Hefferon has more than 28 years of experience in the financial-services industry, and has served on several industry committees and task forces, including those of NAIFA, AALU, NAILBA, and various Insurance Carrier Advisory groups.

In addition to his professional dedication, Hefferon has been active in his community, serving on various funding committees at his local parish, and at Iona Preparatory School, New Rochelle, NY. He also is actively involved in leading fundraising efforts for service men and women of the armed forces and Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Hefferon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Saint Bonaventure University, Olean, NY. He began his career in 1983 as a product analyst with Columbian Mutual Life Insurance Company, Binghamton, NY.
