The first woman to serve as NAIFA president, Juli McNeely, CFP, CLU, LUTCF, can now add the title of author to her many accomplishments. McNeely recently announced the launch of her first book, No Necktie Needed: A Woman’s Guide to Financial Services.
“With 85% of consumer purchasing decisions being made by women today and only 22% of all advisors being female, the need is significant for more females to serve this important group of decision makers,” McNeely said. “It is my hope that more and more women choose this amazing career and that this book can give them a glimpse of how rewarding it can be. It is also my hope that this book can encourage those that have already chosen this as a career to push through those defining moments and find success beyond their imagination.”
The book chronicles McNeely’s experiences in two decades as a financial advisor and owner of McNeely Financial Services. It is written in her candid, incisive, no-holds-barred style and makes the financial-services industry accessible to women who are in search of a strong work-life balance and who seek to define and measure success by their own standards.
McNeely specializes in retirement planning, education funding, succession planning, and estate planning. She has presented her “Success on PURPOSE” talk to hundreds of industry professionals.
She was named the 2015 Women in insurance and Financial Services “Woman of the Year” and has also won the NAIFA-Wisconsin’s A. Jack Nussbaum Distinguished Service Award. In addition, she was designated one of the “Top 20 Women You Need to Know” in insurance by LifeHealthPro and has been interviewed by Advisor Today magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Investment News, Reuters, InsuranceNewsNet, and National Underwriter.
