Falls Church, Va., Dec. 7, 2016 – Connie Golleher, CLTC, president of The Golleher Group, LLC, of McLean, Va., has been elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors, a federation representing the interests of life insurance agents and financial advisors.
NAIFA’s Board of Trustees appointed Golleher during the association’s political involvement training meeting for members in Washington. As part of the Board of Trustees, Golleher will help formulate policy on behalf of the federation and the industry.
“NAIFA benefits from Connie’s industry experience and in-depth knowledge in areas such as long term care, disability and life insurance,” said NAIFA President Paul Dougherty, LUTCF, FSS. “The trustees and the National Council look forward to her leadership as NAIFA works to help shape the legislative and regulatory landscape in Washington, D.C., and in the states. We also will rely on Connie’s input on the development of new strategies, products and services that will help NAIFA members grow their businesses and position their practices for successful futures.”
Golleher, an industry expert in disability, long term care and life insurance, has more than 25 years of experience including extensive expertise working with lawyers, physicians and executives. She is a past President of Greater Washington Foundation of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the charitable arm of NAIFA-Greater Washington. She was the 2016 Legacy award recipient
Golleher also is Board Chair of For Love of Children (FLOC), Board Member of the DC Police Foundation, Committee Member for the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, and the American Red Cross “In The Bag” Event.
Golleher has authored, or served as a source for a number of articles, including articles on securing the maximum Disability Coverage for Lawyers in Managing Partner and Legal Management & ALA News. She was one of the experts interviewed for a Long Term Care article published in Money magazine. She has also been published in Kiplinger’s Retirement, Investors’ Business Daily, Physicians Money Digest, Employee Benefit Review, Business Review, Employment Relations, and many others.
