It's February 25 today and time to take part in America Saves Week--a campaign that promotes the importance of personal savings for all Americans.
This year’s campaign runs from Feb. 25 to March 2. Daily Themes are:
*Feb. 25—Save with a Plan
*Feb. 26—Save the Easy Way Automatically
*Feb. 27—Save for the Unexpected
*Feb. 28—Save for Retirement
*March 1—Save the Extra
*March 2—Save as a Family
With many Americans slowly recovering from the partial federal government shutdown and some receiving no tax refund or a less-than-expected amount, saving has now become a critical and necessary step for lots of American families. NAIFA members are aware of this challenge and are doing their part to help their clients save regularly for the expected—as well as for the unexpected.
America Saves Week is an annual campaign coordinated by America Saves and the American Savings Education Council (ASEC). Started in 2007, America Saves Week is an opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior. Participating groups include military installations; nonprofit organizations; academic institutions; local, state, and federal government agencies; and employers.
