November is Long-Term Care Awareness Month

NAIFA President Lawrence Holzberg, LACP, LUTCF, is pleased to announce that Adam Sachs, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, CLTC, AIF®, a Financial Advisor with Centinel Financial Group, LLC, in Needham, MA, is the recipient of the inaugural 2023 NAIFA President’s Citation.

Holzberg presented the citation to Sachs on November 14 at NAIFA’s Belong awards celebration at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C. in front of over 300 NAIFA members.

Sachs has been a loyal NAIFA member since 1994 and is a Past President of NAIFA’s Massachusetts chapter (NAIFA-MA). He continues to serve on the NAIFA-MA Board. Sachs was the 2021 NAIFA-MA Membership Chair and is currently a Vice Chair of NAIFA’s National Membership Committee. He has also served on NAIFA’s IFAPAC Committee.

“Adam Sachs has done great work on behalf of NAIFA as an innovative and tireless recruiter of new members and also as a leader in NAIFA’s grassroots advocacy efforts. It is my honor to congratulate him as the first-ever recipient of the NAIFA President’s Citation,” said Holzberg. “Adam has been a model member who is involved in multiple programs and generously gives his time and talent. He has worked with clients to testify before state regulators on important advocacy issues. He sets a shining example for NAIFA members who want to be more involved in elevating their industry, professional association, colleagues, and clients.”

In 2010, Sachs was named the first-ever recipient of NAIFA’s annual Young Advisor Team Leader of the Year award and since then has been actively involved with NAIFA at the state and national levels. He was the Q2 2021 recipient of NAIFA’s Membership Hard Hat award. He is among NAIFA’s leading new-member recruiters and a regular attendee of NAIFA events, including the National Leadership Conference and Congressional Conference. He is a graduate of NAIFA’s Leadership in Life Institute and has earned NAIFA’s Financial Security Advocate badge.

“It is truly an honor to receive this acknowledgment,” Sachs said. “I care so much about NAIFA, as it stands for excellence in helping our clients and industry.”

The NAIFA President’s Citation is a new award designed to recognize volunteer leaders who have shown extraordinary dedication to NAIFA and performed services to the association above and beyond expectations. The NAIFA Office of the President may select one President’s Citation recipient each year.
