Financial security doesn't happen by accident. It begins with access to trusted information, thoughtful planning, and professionals who are committed to helping individuals and families make informed decisions at every stage of life.
That's why I am excited to join Congresswoman Sarah McBride, representatives from NAIFA-Delaware, Life Happens, and other organizations for a NAIFA Economic Empowerment event Aug. 20 in Georgetown, Delaware. Ready, Set, Retire! will bring together experts to help individuals age 55 and older better understand the financial, legal, healthcare, and retirement decisions that can shape their future.
For more than 135 years, NAIFA members have served as educators, advocates, and trusted advisors in their communities. While we help clients build personalized financial strategies, we also have a broader responsibility to improve financial literacy and ensure that more Americans have access to the knowledge they need to make confident decisions.
We are grateful to Congresswoman McBride for partnering with us to launch this effort, and it is especially fitting that Delaware—the First State—will be the first event, with hopefully more to follow.
If you are a NAIFA member in Delaware, I encourage you to attend and invite your clients, friends, and neighbors who may benefit from these discussions. Your participation helps demonstrate the important role financial professionals play in strengthening our communities.
I’ll see you in Georgetown!
