Financial Security

For many business-owner clients, their company is their largest and most illiquid asset, making accurate valuation essential to estate, retirement, and succession planning. Without a clear understanding of what a business is worth, financial professionals may miss key planning gaps, liquidity risks, and opportunities to help clients protect and grow enterprise value.

NAIFA’s Investment, Retirement, Estate and Advanced Planning Center will host “Business Valuation: Key for Your Clients’ Business and the Financial Professional” on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 12 to 1 pm eastern. The webinar will feature Steve Susel, Managing Director of MS Capital, and Andrew Rinn, Assistant Vice President of Advanced Strategies at Sammons Financial Group, for an interactive discussion on how valuation data supports stronger planning for business-owner clients.

The session will also examine why business valuation matters for financial professionals themselves. Understanding the equity, enterprise value, and succession readiness of a practice can help professionals make more informed decisions about continuity, growth, and transition planning.

Attendees will learn how valuation fits into estate, retirement, and business succession strategies, how to distinguish between a preliminary calculation of value and a formal valuation engagement, and which economic and operational factors drive business value.

This webinar is free for NAIFA members and non-members. Register today to join this important IREAP Center webinar.
