NAIFA Members Provide Financial Security

NAIFA CEO Kevin Mayeux, CAE, was honored during the Chinese American Insurance Association’s (CAIA) Chinese New Year annual event, held April 3 in New York. The festive evening brought together hundreds of insurance professionals, community leaders, and honored guests to celebrate the achievements and deep-rooted values of the Chinese American insurance community. Mayeux was recognized alongside AmeriLife Chairman & CEO Scott Perry, for their dedication to professionalism, leadership, and service to the industry.

In his remarks, Mayeux thanked CAIA President Vince Vitiello and the association’s Board Members for the recognition and for their leadership in the industry. “You are more than insurance agents. You are trusted advisors, advocates, and neighbors,” he told the crowd, acknowledging their dedication to serving their clients with compassion and cultural understanding.

Mayeux reflected on the strong, family-first values that define the Chinese American community — values that naturally align with the mission of the life insurance industry. “Your community sees life insurance not just as a financial product but as a powerful expression of responsibility and love — a legacy that protects generations.”

Mayeux drew parallels between the missions of CAIA and NAIFA, emphasizing their shared commitment to advocacy, service, and education. He applauded CAIA members for their dual role: supporting the financial well-being of families and small businesses while also advocating for sound public policy that strengthens the industry for future generations.

Mayeux also highlighted NAIFA’s efforts to support financial professionals through advocacy and education. He spotlighted NAIFA’s unique role as the only association that advocates at the state, interstate, and federal levels — including its upcoming Congressional Conference in Washington, D.C. He also promoted the relaunch of NAIFA’s Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®) designation, a respected program that has trained more than 70,000 professionals and is now expanding globally, with offerings launching in Malaysia and the Philippines this year.

“Like CAIA, NAIFA is a family. We believe in what we do, and we are proud to stand with professionals like you who serve your communities with heart and excellence.”
