Congratulations are in order for Jill Judd and Becky Brothers, two outstanding NAIFA members who were featured in the April 2020 issue of AdviseHER, the magazine of the Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) organization.

In the article, Judd , who is NAIFA’s Immediate Past President and a State Farm insurance agent, noted that when she first became a NAIFA member, she met folks who became her mentors. She decided to participate in NAIFA’s leadership-development program, LILI, where she met Larry Lambert, a national icon. Lambert taught her about being a “guide on the side rather than a sage on the stage,” she said.

Lambert was a formidable mentor and asked Judd to serve as his co-moderator after she graduated from the class.  After that, she added, it was her turn to lead the class and pull up her own co-moderators.

Becky Brothers was featured in the WIFS magazine because she is the first WIFS member to meet WIFS’ 2020 in 2020 challenge. The organization challenged each member to recruit 3 new members in 2020. Winners will be recognized at the association’s national convention in Indianapolis and receive a $220 gift card.

Brothers is a regional business strategist at Principal Financial Group and a NAIFA-Denver President.
