NAIFA is very sad to learn of the passing of JoAnn Martin, the former CEO of Ameritas and a respected leader in the insurance and financial services industry. Martin led Ameritas for more than 10 years before her retirement in 2020. She was a strong supporter of NAIFA and our industry.

“JoAnn was a true friend to NAIFA, many of our members across the country, and to all of those involved in the financial security profession,” said NAIFA CEO Kevin Mayeux, CAE. “I will always remember her thoughtful, compassionate, caring, and pragmatic leadership style and the fact that she was always looking after the best interests of others. She will be sorely missed.”
