Greg Ling is dedicated to protecting families and making a difference in his community.

Ling started his career as a juvenile probation officer but soon transitioned to a customer service role in the insurance industry at Lincoln Financial Group. He jokes that, after working with teenagers, he knew he could handle working with sales representatives and upset customers. Ling excelled at his new position and quickly rose through the ranks. He was promoted five times in his first three years. However, when he reached the top of his customer service career, he decided to make the transition to sales. 

After a few months as an independent agent, Ling was having trouble finding new clients—prospects preferred working with a brand they recognized. That’s when a friend recommended AAA Life Insurance Company to him. AAA’s universal brand recognition helped jump-start his career as a life insurance agent. Ling thrived in his new role. In just 10 months, he's become one of the top agents in his office.

Ling specializes in helping young families like his own find the right life insurance protection. He enjoys building rapport and finding individualized solutions for his clients. He helps them understand abstract concepts by breaking down the complex pieces of life insurance. “What I love about this job is like you just get to be my authentic self," he says. "In sales, if you try to be somebody else, it just doesn't work.”

Joining NAIFA was an easy decision for Ling. “If I'm going to be a lifetime agent, I need to be a part of the professional organization that is trying to propel forward what we're trying to do,” he says. He’s also excited to be involved in NAIFA’s political advocacy, saying, “NAIFA is truly advocating for what is best for agents on the legislative side.”

When he’s not working, Ling loves spending quality time with his wife and three-year-old son. An avid sports fan, he likes watching and attending games, and even plays pickup basketball games when his schedule allows. Ling is also active in his church as an associate pastor.
