April Is National Financial Literacy Month

Joseph Cammayo, our newest NAIFA member, is an independent financial advisor at Calton & Associates, Inc., and a Registered Investment Advisor (IAR) with Grantvest Financial.

Joseph has 25 years of experience ranging from various Senior Level positions in some of the most prestigious firms in the industry. He was previously a Senior Director of Branch Operations at Oppenheimer, an Operations Manager at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and an Admin Manager for Bank of America Investments. He has extensive knowledge of Risk Management, Compliance, and Operations.

Joseph maintains a Series 7 General Securities Representative, Series 66 Investment Advisor Representative, and the NJ Life & Health Insurance Certifications.

As a Fiduciary Financial Planner, Joseph utilizes his extensive knowledge of risk management and incorporates it with his wealth management process. What sets him apart from his peers is his commitment to understanding clients’ unique financial objectives and holistic approach when advising clients about their wealth. Joseph and his wife of 17 years currently reside in Monmouth County, NJ with their two children.

Joseph stumbled upon NAIFA while “perusing the Alliance for Lifetime Income website.” After learning more about the educational and advocacy elements of the association, he was thrilled to join. He says being a member helps him “stay aware of changes happening within the industry.”

One of Joseph’s most meaningful accomplishments was the first time he received a referral from a customer. He had just started as an advisor. He said, “When you get a referral from a customer, that solidifies that the customer has confidence in you handling not only their finances but those of a friend or family members too. That was a very proud moment for me.”

Cammayo finds great joy in determining the “appropriate solution for each client.” He says, “I really enjoy the fact that no two clients that come in my door are ever the same. From a financial standpoint, everyone has different needs and goals, so there’s never a dull moment.”

Though Joseph’s introduction to the financial services industry was unique to most, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the clients he serves. As a result, he now independently runs a successful company of his own.

Welcome to NAIFA, Joseph. We are grateful you’re here!
