NAIFA is a proud member of the Coalition for Annuity Awareness, and CEO Kevin Mayeux, CAE, has joined fellow association CEOs to celebrate and promote June as National Annuity Awareness Month. He contributed statements on NAIFA’s behalf to a video presentation and a press release put together by the coalition.
“Together, we can put more Americans on the pathway to financial security by first focusing on financial empowerment,” Mayeux says in the video segment. “This starts with access to financial education and income protection products such as annuities. It is only possible with help from industry professionals, regulators, and consumers alike.”
The coalition is led by the National Association for Fixed Annuities (NAFA). It includes NAIFA partners the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) and the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI), whose leaders Susan Neely, CAE, and Wayne Chopus, respectively, recently participated in a CEO panel at NAIFA’s Congressional Conference.
In the coalition press release, Mayeux said, “NAIFA members work face-to-face every day with Main Street Americans helping them plan for retirement and achieve their financial goals. Annuities are a crucial tool in the financial plans of many of these families and individuals. It is important that we make Americans fully aware of all their financial planning options, especially those that provide the tremendous benefit and peace of mind offered by a guaranteed lifetime income. NAIFA is proud to partner with NAFA and other fine organizations to promote National Annuity Awareness Month as a service to insurance and financial professionals and the consumers they serve.”
