NAIFA’s 2020 Performance + Purpose Conference to “Power the Possible” with a Concentrated Professional Development Experience

The highly interactive virtual event’s workshops and breakouts are designed to appeal to future-focused financial professionals.

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) has opened registration for its 2020 Performance + Purpose conference, an interactive virtual event to be held Oct. 6-8.

COVID-19 restrictions and health concerns forced NAIFA to replace its face-to-face conference in Boston with an event that will occur completely online, yet will offer ample opportunities for professional development, interactive learning and virtual networking.

P+P workshops and breakout sessions are designed to “power the possible” and provide forward-thinking financial professionals with solutions to help them grow their businesses for the next 20 years. Programming is focused on four high-impact business tracks – Sales & Prospecting, Practice Management, Financial Technology, and Advanced Practices – allowing attendees to tailor their P+P experiences to their specific professional and business development needs.

Concentrated Professional Development

Unlike previous NAIFA conferences, P+P 2020 will focus exclusively on professional development, practice management and motivation. NAIFA’s annual membership business meeting and a celebration of NAIFA award winners and achievements will occur at a separate virtual event in November.

“The reality of 2020 provides us a great opportunity to accelerate into the future and reshape the Performance + Purpose conference to best serve financial professionals who are building their businesses to succeed for years and decades to come,” said NAIFA President-Elect Tom Michel, LACP, who also chairs the P+P Planning Committee. “Of course, we’re disappointed we won’t be gathering in Boston to celebrate NAIFA’s 130th anniversary at the site of its founding, but we are moving forward with technologies and business practices that have taken center stage in recent months. NAIFA’s experience delivering virtual programming is second-to-none in our industry and this new event design ensures that this will be a powerful, valuable and enriching conference for everyone who attends.”

Beginning in March, NAIFA immediately responded to COVID-19 lockdowns with unparalleled online programming, including virtual Town Halls, an online CEO Panel, and NAIFA Nation Impact Week, which reached more than 15,000 participants. P+P’s virtual programming draws on lessons learned during those sessions and will provide even greater opportunities for top-notch inspiration, motivation, sales ideas, business tips and professional networking.

Keynote Speakers to Motivate and Inspire

Each day of the conference will feature a motivational and entertaining keynote speaker:

  • 6 – Jason Dorsey, the world’s leading Gen Z and Y speaker, expert, and researcher
  • 7 – Liz Murray, an inspirational speaker and best-selling author who went from being homeless to attending Harvard to achieving great professional success
  • 8 – Morris Morrison, CEO of StoryMaker Brands and owner of Windmill Park Media, and a world-class “DISRUPTION Speaker”

“We look forward to a 2020 Performance + Purpose that is wholly reimagined,” Michel added. “Aside from providing an unprecedented interactive virtual experience, it will give attendees a highly concentrated dose of programs to turbo-charge their professional development and growth. I can’t wait to see everyone virtually at P+P 2020.”
