On Sunday, I had the pleasure of joining a number of your fellow NAIFA members at the MDRT Annual Meeting in Orlando to officially launch NAIFA’s new certification, the Life and Annuity Certified Professional, or LACP.

As the founder of the Million Dollar Round Table, it made sense that NAIFA leaders would choose the MDRT meeting as the venue to introduce a certification that specifically recognizes the experienced, knowledgeable and ethical insurance professional with a mark of distinction. Throughout the MDRT meeting – which runs through Wednesday, a group of enthusiastic staff and member volunteers are on-site to deliver presentations and enroll qualified advisors as LACP candidates.

One: LACP is the new mark of trust for an insurance professional.

Two: Through their experience, education, and successful completion of the LACP exam, LACP holders have demonstrated essential product knowledge; experience with the consultative sales process; and awareness and commitment to ethical and legal conduct.

Three: For a limited time, experienced advisors who qualify may earn the LACP through a professional experience review process in lieu of taking the exam.
