NAIFA President Doug Massey, LUTCF, CLU, ChFC, CRES, FSS, has announced the appointment of Kathleen Bilderback, Counsel in the Business Practice Group with Sandberg, Phoenix & von Gontard P.C., to serve on the NAIFA Board of Trustees.
Bilderback is a nationally recognized attorney, speaker, and author with expertise in business and executive benefits planning and life insurance-based estate and executive compensation planning. She is a past national President of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (now a NAIFA community) and past board member of NAIFA-St. Louis. She served on the NAIFA 2030 Strategic Planning Committee that created the vision currently guiding the association.
“We are excited to welcome Kathleen Bilderback to the NAIFA Board of Trustees,” said NAIFA President Massey. “She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the fields of executive benefits, estate planning, and advanced life insurance concepts, as well as a thorough understanding of the insurance and financial services industry. Drawing on her experience as past President of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, she ably represents the financial advisors, insurance agents, attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals among NAIFA’s members. Her perspective and insight will be particularly valuable as the Trustees continue the implementation and execution of the NAIFA 2030 Strategic Plan.”
Bilderback previously provided training and advanced underwriting support for top MetLife producers as a member of the insurer’s Advanced Markets Group. She is a former adjunct professor in the LLM program at Washington University’s School of Law and was selected as a Registered Player Financial Advisor for the National Football League Players Association.
Bilderback has been a NAIFA member since 1999 and has been a featured presenter at NAIFA national events, including the Performance + Purpose Conference and the 2021 Advance Practice Impact Week series. She has been on the faculty of the FSP Institute and has presented at the Million Dollar Round Table’s Top of the Table Meeting. She is an annual presenter at the Vistage Executive Summit.
“It is an honor to be selected to serve, and I look forward to working with President Massey and all of the Trustees as we continue to build NAIFA’s strength, impact, and awareness as outlined in the NAIFA 2030 Strategic Plan,” Bilderback said. “The merger of NAIFA and the Society of Financial Service Professionals in January 2024 along with the earlier addition of Life Happens ensures that the full spectrum of financial professionals has a strong association serving their interests and needs. I am excited to continue to grow our legacy of advocacy, professional development, and consumer education success.”
