April Is National Financial Literacy Month

NAIFA and the Southern Medical Association (SMA) have completed an educational partnership agreement to advance thought leadership and consumer education and promote professional cooperation between the two associations. Under the partnership, SMA will provide content for NAIFA blog posts and social media platforms, as well as articles for NAIFA’s Advisor Today. NAIFA and SMA will work together to give broader access for financial professionals and consumers to SMA content in areas where the associations’ interests overlap.

“NAIFA is excited to partner with SMA to share our associations’ expertise and thought leadership,” said Brian Steiner, NAIFA VP, Business Development & Partnerships. “NAIFA is always working to provide members with connections and resources to reach increasingly higher levels of success, and our partnership with SMA will help us do that. As insurance and financial advisors, NAIFA members often work closely with medical professionals, which makes this partnership a good fit.”

SMA will provide information and materials valuable to insurance and financial professionals via blog posts to NAIFA’s Business Performance Center and a dedicated webpage within NAIFA’s Membership website portal. SMA will present a session during the NAIFA Business Performance Center’s 2021 Impact Week, and thought leaders from the association will be listed as Subject Matter Experts on the Business Performance Center site. SMA will also provide consumer-focused content for NAIFA’s FinancialSecurity.org site.

“We are looking forward to this partnership with NAIFA’s as an extension of our Family of Medicine,” said SMA Executive Director Randy Glick, BSB/pm, MCP “SMA and NAIFA are both committed to supporting our members, helping them to advance their work and provide exceptional care. Together, we're able to extend that help and promote the wellbeing of Americans and their families across the country."
